To combat hardness of water due to high levels of calcium, salts and magnesium, which as a consequence forms a hard crust on the internal parts of a dishwasher, Hemerson has developed a range of resin water softeners. These transform insoluble salts into soluble ones enabling them to be eliminated.
The Hemerson range of water softeners is composed of 3 automatic models; E4, E5 & E8 and 2 manual models; HLT8 & HLT12.
The resin has to be periodically “reactivated” by a process called regeneration. This involves passing water mixed with sea salt through the resin. This process can be programmed to happen at regular intervals (with the automatic models) or can be performed manually ( as with the manual models). |
